World Economic Forum names Guideline a technology pioneer

Kevin Busque

Today, we’re humbled to share that the World Economic Forum included Guideline as one of its 100 most promising Technology Pioneers of 2020. The list honors companies that are reshaping industriesfrom agriculture to healthcare to financewhile also working on sustainability issues and much more.

It’s been less than five years since we set out to build a modern and affordable approach to retirement planning that works for businesses of every size. In that time, more than 12,500 businesses have chosen Guideline to help their employees save for retirement, amassing more than $2 billion in managed assets along the way.

We couldn’t be more proud of this recognition from the World Economic Forum. We are more committed than ever to continue pursuing our mission of creating a retirement Americans can look forward to.

The World Economic Forum’s Technology Pioneers are early to growth-stage companies from around the world. They are involved in the design, development, and deployment of new technologies and innovations and are poised to have a significant impact on business and society.

The Technology Pioneers community is an integral part of the larger Global Innovators community of startups at the World Economic Forum.

As part of our selection, Guideline will participate at World Economic Forum activities, events, and discussions throughout the year. We're thrilled that we’ll also be able to contribute to Forum initiatives over the next two years, working with policymakers and private sector leaders to help define the global agenda on key issues.

This year’s cohort selection marks the 20th anniversary of the Tech Pioneers community. Throughout its 20-year run, many Technology Pioneers have continuously contributed to advancement in their industries while some have even gone on to become household names.

Past recipients include Airbnb, Google, Kickstarter, Mozilla, Palantir Technologies, Spotify, TransferWise, Twitter, and Wikimedia. Technology Pioneers were selected based on the community’s selection criteria, which includes innovation, impact and leadership as well as the company’s relevance with the World Economic Forum’s Platforms.

We look forward to working with the World Economic Forum in support of our mission and will be sharing developments and updates with the Guideline community. Information on this year’s Technology Pioneers can be found here.
